High Steaks, the steakhouse at Thunder Valley Casino Resort, on Tuesday opened its extensive new outdoor patio.
It has seating for more than 85 people, which is larger than a lot of restaurants. It also has reception space for 100. The patio is decorated with plant walls, trellises, landscaping and features like fire walls and fountains.
The United Auburn Indian Community, the tribe that owns and operates Thunder Valley, isn’t saying how much the expansion of the restaurant cost, said Doug Elmets, spokesman for the tribe. “It represents a significant investment,” he said.
The patio has two decorative fire walls, which are flames between glass panes. The space also has a reflecting pool near the waiting room and a fountain at the front door. The outdoor patio also will feature live music in the evenings.
High Steaks in Lincoln is one of only three restaurants in the region to earn AAA’s Four Diamond rating. The other two Four Diamond restaurants locally are The Firehouse in Old Sacramento and Dawson's in the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. The Kitchen Restaurant in Sacramento earned a Five Diamond rating from AAA.
